Paces long association with the Peto Institute is a matter of pride. As is our part in the very first UK-wide summer schools, here in Sheffield, from 1992-94. As is the help received from Prof Kozma and Anikó Salga in setting up our own centre from 1996. As is our part in introducing conductive education to the English mainstream in 2009, when the Department for Education recognised Paces School as a Non-Maintained Special School; as is the formal opening of the school by the Duke of Gloucester a year later, after the full refurbishment; as is that Paces was first in the UK to secure Qualified Teacher Status for Conductors when Hungary joined the European Union; as is the fact that Ofsted has recognised Paces School at each inspection as "Good" and then "Outstanding". Perhaps most of all, people at Paces School would say they are most of all proud of the achievements of the children and that Paces School is a terrific place to work.
Is Paces for you?
Paces School is currently looking for up to four Conductors to join the team. You might be a newly graduated conductor or a more experienced conductor with qualified teacher status. Paces would like to hear from you. Perhaps one day you too will look back with pride on your joining Paces School.
