Congratulations to the PACE Centre in Aylesbury in winning funding from the DfE.
"The project includes a combination of direct support for children and young people with sensory motor disorders - offering training/guidance for mainstream schools and making good links between mainstream and special settings".
DfE grants to voluntary organisations "will be used to reform or deliver life-changing services over the next year". 94 projects will benefit from a share of £25m.
The Department says "The money will be spread between organisations specialising in adoption (£1.7 million), children in care (£1.4 million), early education and childcare (£5.3 million), family advice and support (£1.8 million), safeguarding (£3.3 million) and special educational needs and disabilities (£5.9 million). The grants will supplement existing government funding that supports these sectors."
The DfE Press Release lists all 94 projects with a short description of each. As these are what the DfE regards as the projects that will "make the biggest impact on children, young people and their families", there may be an indication here of the priorities in current DfE thinking. Worth a read.
