"I urge all of you to start preparing now."
So said Children's Minister, Edward Timpson, speaking on 4th July 2013 to the Association of Directors of Children's Services.
Are you ready for the "biggest reforms in 30 years to help disabled children and those with special educational needs". Or like most of us, are you still in the dark?
> What do you know about the Children and Families Bill now before Parliament?
> What has been learned from the Pathfinder studies set up to test aspects of the new reforms? Have you even heard of the Pathfinders?
> Has the Government got it right? If so, why are leading charities supporting the key reforms but still pressing for changes to the Bill?
To answer questions like these and to make sure everyone knows about the reforms, Paces is holding two seminars for everyone affected:
- Seminar 1 on 18th September 2013 is especially for parents and carers and parent/carer organisations
- Seminar 2 on 25th September 2013 is mainly for anyone working in health, education or social care, whether practitioners, commissioners or providers, from all sectors - and for parent/carer organisations, too.
